Substance Use Declaration

Certalys is an independent analytical laboratory. This declaration explains the purpose our analyses serve, what our reports do and do not say, and where the responsibility of our clients lies.

01

Purpose of our services

Certalys provides analytical services to determine the identity, purity, amount and contamination of submitted samples. Our work serves harm reduction: independent analysis lowers the risk of underdosed, mislabelled or contaminated products and gives users, communities and researchers a factual basis for decisions.

We do not sell, broker or advertise any substances and have no commercial interest in the outcome of any analysis.

02

No medical advice

Our reports document analytical measurement results only. They are not medical advice and contain no statements about the safety, efficacy, tolerability or dosing of any substance in humans.

In particular, an analytical report does not imply that a substance is suitable or safe for consumption. Please consult qualified medical professionals for any health-related questions.

03

No encouragement of use

Certalys does not encourage the purchase, possession or consumption of any substance. The analysis of a sample is neither a release nor a quality certification for consumption, and it is not an endorsement of the product, its manufacturer or its distributor.

People use substances whether or not they can have them tested. Our contribution is limited to reducing the associated risks through reliable analytical data.

04

What our reports do and do not say

Every report relates exclusively to the examined sample in the condition in which it reached us and to the methods applied. No conclusions may be drawn about other batches, units or products from the same supplier.

Reports carry a unique Test-ID and can be publicly verified on our website. Only the original retrievable via the verification page is authoritative; we accept no responsibility for altered or partially reproduced copies.

05

Legal responsibility of clients

The legal status of acquiring, possessing and shipping a substance differs considerably from country to country. Our clients are themselves responsible for ensuring that submitting and possessing a sample complies with the laws applicable in their country.

Samples may only be shipped after our explicit order confirmation; unannounced parcels will not be accepted. We reserve the right to decline orders without stating reasons.
